Excellent place to get games and consoles I hadnt seen some of these consoles since the Huge selection of new and classic games. This place is fantastic and should be your only stop for anything gaming related. Yesterday I went to Game zone with my boyfriend. Thus is a very organized game store. The owner is not only unbelievably nice but extremely knowledgeable. He was so friendly and willing to chat and answer questions.
Prices were very fair Definitely worth checking out. These guys are so genuinely kind and helpful. I will continue to support this business as long as its here. Amazing collection of new and used games. In all my years of gaming and buying used games, this is the only place that actually cleaned the discs before giving them to me.

Great retro store with a nice selection of games. No biggie though. The employees are very knowledgeable and want to make sure you find everything you want and have a lot of good recommendations. We saw the owner too and he was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy that we found some games that we wanted.
Overall selection was pretty good and though prices were a bit higher looking back, theres no reason to give this store a score lower than a 5. It has heart and I wouldnt be opposed to visiting again at some point. Great place for current and retro games, accessories, and consoles. I even found a small shelf of old gaming mags from 96 and some strategy guides.
If you like console gaming, youll definitely like this place. Really great store! Sold me some good stuff, at a great price. Only problem was he accidentally sold me a xbox original cord and controller with my xbox set. However, the game zone people sent me replacement parts to fix the problem, and now everything is working good!
A perfect example of why its better shop local! The people here are always fun to talk to and passionate about gaming. When I couldnt figure out how to hook up my old Sega to a modern TV they took the time to listen, figure out what I needed and find the parts for me - all while playfully chatting about the latest release of Kingdom Hearts.
They have lots of knowledge of the gaming industry, repair most gaming stuff like my pokemon crystal cartridge, and have excellent customer service for plebs like me! Extremely overpriced and inflated prices.
Owner is very rude - suggested that I leave when he learned that I buy things online. Wanted to sell me a genuine n64 controller for 40 dollars, which is insane. Said that they tightened the joystick - even though it was still completely loose. Theyre so kind and knowledgeable with an awesome selection.
Highly recommend checking this place out. Definitely the best retro-gaming store I have been to. Wonderfully kind staff the owner Neil especially that are easy to chat with and are always available for questions. The store was well stocked, but I was there during Halloween season, so of course it was more busy than I imagine it is usually. The amount of stock they had was still incredible, fairly priced, and they even refurbish and clean up all their products that are brought in.
They have a thirty day warranty on purchases, and you can bring in your own stuff for fixing. I believe most of this is described on the website as well. Seriously an amazing store, Ill definitely be coming back here as soon as possible!
Its a decent video game store I like it personally. However I went in last week bought a used left. Joy con never told me it was refurbished and when I called saying that he told me its the same thing. I said no its not used is an item you use and then sell to the store refurbished is an item that needs repair then sold again hence why you are supposed to inform them of the difference not tell them its the same thing.
I knew there was a problem when I Bluetooth the now Grey joycon to the console and it shows up as neon blue. Red flag one. After using it for only min I realize it dosnt click on correctly. This function is a button needed to play most games. And it dosnt work. I then play with it 2 more times and the joystick now dosnt work all together. I now know its the joystick that was refurbished. Knowing that key piece of difference I would have not made the purchase.
When I called he said he tested it and it worked but not knowing the specs of the button feel he clearly didnt have it fixed properly. I hope he makes this right. It was a 50 dollar purchase for a refurbished controller that wasnt properly working or tested. I would like this repaired please I cannot play anything and cannot get another where as I saved for that and cant afford another The store had every I was looking for and I even found some retro-games.
Moderate prices. Highly recommend it. Excellent service. Excellent customer service, excellent conversation, excellent knowledge that is very extensive on multiple video games. All around great place, and he cleaned all the copies of the games that I bought; not a scratch on them. The owner gentleman behind the counter is so friendly, knowledgeable and will to assist and answer any questions u have.
Also their prices are very comparable to retail large discount chains like walmart. I prefer to support our local smaller business too. What a store. Games for every console, retro and new. Plenty of retro consoles for sale. Extremely friendly owner. A must visit. Employees are very knowledgeable and courteous and genuinely want to make your experience there a pleasant one. I just moved to Salem a year ago but I have been coming to this store even beforehand. If you are a collector of older consoles, this is the place to go to find old games for a reasonable if not cheap price.
I have to hold back from buying consoles or crazy amounts of games when I am here. Lastly, also a great source for controllers, testing, repair, etc.
Staff is energetic, knowledgeable, and more than willing to help. A decent collection of retro games. Many hard to find titles despite the ever changing inventory. Great little place. A little pricey, but thats ok.
Not enough places like this exist so we should be willing to spend a few more bucks to be able to browse the retro goodness. Really cool place with a lot to choose from. Prices are reasonable and the staff is really cool. Only downside is the good stuff they get in goes pretty quick so you kinda have to get lucky to find certain games. As a result theres a lot of lack luster game titles that probably nobody wants. Otherwise great place, worth a stop in.

Its a pretty cool store. People are nice and knowledgable. But the prices are higher then they should be on some things. Like for example persona 3 is 30 dollars when it usually sells for around dollars. Some of the items tend to be ten dollars higher than else where.
However there is a five dollar discount section with some pretty good titles. And also the second one in that section is half off. So thats always nice. But the prices on some of the games outside of that section are still high. Good local store with lots of Hardware and hard to find games. Everything is a matter of preference and I still enjoy going to a physical store. The knowledge that some staff members have is amazing great to get a history lesson while shopping.
A decent store, quite good selection, pricing is decent, some games being above average priced, but some games being priced below average. I can not completely recommend this store though, as I purchased 6 games, and one did not play.
Thankfully, I only paid 2. Edit: I actually believe resurfacing caused the issue, because the PS2 brings the red screen of death, which happens when a non ps2 disc is inserted, so I think the shop resurfaced the disc too much causing it to lose the data. Best selection of retro games on North Shore. Good experience, the prices are reasonable. The service is the best. They will take care of you. They guarantee their products and will allow returns for store credit.
I always visit this store when Im in Salem. I havent bought anything yet, but am always amazed at their huge selection of games, old and new. Its a fun little store to go inside and see what they have to offer. The smell inside is very nostalgic of old game stores. Great selection and pricing.
Love the retro focus and deals. Surprised at how helpful and genuinely cool the people are who work here. My review probably comes off like a paid one, but I legitimately find this store to be refreshing in how fun it is to comb through it. This place is great, and the people behind the counter are more than helpful. If you are into Retrogames, this is the place to go. I definitely will be back! Great for retro and modern games. He was spot on. Better retro selection than Ive seen in any other game store in long time. Friendly and very knowledgable staff, some items a little pricey, but only for rare and valuable games, so its worth it. Also, have a fun display of retro consoles and rare games NOT for sale, but fun to look at that are sometimes out to play with. Went to the one at northshore mall and bought a game there but it didnt work. Went there today cause my ps2 copy of Kingdom Hearts 1 wouldnt play a cutscene towards the endgame.
Went back and they did it again twice over and now its working again! Great people in there who just want to help you and keep the retro gaming community alive. Yes, some things are pricey factory sealed, imported, etc but its for a reason that theyre happy to explain, you have to remember that a lot of these things are hard to find in working condition.
I always stop by on my trips to Salem! Not only if its a great place for nostalgia it is a great place for gaming both modern and vintage. I went to this store and every one there was so so nice. And very helpfully the Manager was great keep up the great wrk. I will gladly keep come to your store. Its a small business competing with a huge industry. Dont complain that theyre not going to give you a lot for turning in your used games.
Nice people. Many classic games, consoles and gadgets. The prices were as expected for such items. Not too high and not very low. Great place has retro pieces. Pricing is normal as found online. They try to do the best for their customers. Great selection of retro stuff.
Some prices are high and could be a little more fair. But if you try to sell anything to them they rape you on price when theyll make roughly x the profit of what they offer you.
